Bladder Diary
The bladder diary is a useful tool for the urologist to better understand the nature and extent of the patient's micturition disorder. Keeping a micturition diary, which records the amount of fluid introduced and the amount of urine expelled at each voiding, is a common request made by the urologist to the patient.
This printable chart is useful for making it easier for the patient to complete the diary.
For proper evaluation, a urinary diary should be kept for at least 3 days, making sure to report every 24-hour event, including nighttime urination.
A graduated container should be used to measure the amount of urine.
